Turbulence is proverbial in March and April. We all hear that March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb, and that April is the cruelest month. Probably the reputation for these two months is based on the kind of change that takes place: unpredictable, sometimes startling and unsettled. But there’s also the spring cleaning aspect of these months, when the brisk winds bring an end to clutter and freshen our lives.

Perhaps what we all need to remember is that change is essential. We are not here to stay the same, but to grow and develop. Change is only painful when we resist it, when our agendas don't agree with reality.

One secret to surfing the changes in life is a form of moving balance among the mind, spirit and body, and in times when we need the ability to respond gracefully to change, attention to all these areas is more important than ever. So as the winds of change arrive, make a special effort to allow your body the nourishment and exercise it needs, your mind to be stimulated and your spirit to be fed.

The spas of today are rich in all of these areas, providing healing touch and herbs for the body and renewal for the spirit as the mind achieves understanding. Special programs on centering, renewal and quiets retreats are offered all over the world for the refreshment of spring. Now – perhaps more than any other time – is when a deep massage can restore your physical resilience, a long soak in a jacuzzi or a deep yoga class can calm the spirit, and the mind can find clarity.

We at Worldwide Spa Review wish you a rich season of change, a time when you break the husks of habit to fulfill your dreams, and the vitality to make them real.
