Cerulean Villa in Anguilla Introduces East Hampton’s Seaflower Spa
Anguilla’s premier private retreat, Cerulean Villa, has announced the addition of East Hampton’s popular Seaflower Spa services to the villa’s luxury amenities.
Cerulean Villa is a 13,000 square-foot beachfront private resort that features seven spacious bedrooms; the villa is located directly on the white sand beach at Barnes Bay.
Spa programs are personalized for each guest. As guests have exclusive use of the entire property, treatments can be performed in the tropical gardens, near the fountain or waterfall, on a guestroom terrace overlooking the ocean, by the freshwater swimming pool, on the beach or in any setting that the guest desires. The property also includes a stone tiled courtyard that can be used for meditation or to practice yoga.
Kim Keller, the owner of Seaflower Spa, developed the spa concept after the philosophy that we are not only “what we eat” but what we put on our skin. She custom-blends all-organic, natural materials, including massage oils from avocado, grape seed, rice bran and sunflower oils. She combines non-abrasive elements such as brown sugar and fruit acids to treat fine lines, sun damage and break-outs. Her treatments also include aromatic essences, such as jasmine, lemongrass, rose, orange blossom, pine and ginger, which leave guests feeling refreshed.
On the first day of their stay at Cerulean, guests are welcomed by the villa’s Seaflower representative and given an overview of the spa therapies and programs. The therapist can customize each treatment to the guest’s specific needs and also design blends of the various Seaflower scented oils, exotic plant extracts and products for the different facials, massages and body scrubs offered at the villa.
“We are very proud to be part of Cerulean,” said Keller. “Amidst the villa’s beautiful surroundings, guests will be absolutely carried away by the sunshine, blue skies, tranquil surf, scents of the island and Seaflower’s custom-designed spa therapies for Cerulean.”
Treatments range from $110 to $195; they can be combined to form spa packages. For more information, visit www.cerulean-villa.com.

New Spa Concept Unveiled at The Spa at The Palms on Turks and Caicos
A new ‘Spa Guest Journey’ concept at The Spa at The Palms has been launched so that, the spa will be more closely integrated with the guest experience.
From the moment they arrive at the airport, guests will receive spa-inspired preferential treatment as well as in-room spa amenities at turndown and products to help clear pre-flight sinuses upon check out and departure from the resort.
Another ‘first’ for The Spa at The Palms is the use of unique Mediterranean Float Beds on all treatment beds; these use heated water mattresses to provide a feeling of total suspension and relaxation. A new range of spa inspired food is also available to guests. The Power Breakfast menu, aimed at those who wish to kick start their day with an energy boost, includes a bowl of yogurt with oatmeal and fresh fruit, green tea and a ‘Power Breakfast’ face pack, which contains the same ingredients as the breakfast, but which is to be applied to the face. Also available is the Good Girl/Bad Girl Girlie Night In menu, an in-room service aimed at all-girl travelers, parties of mother and daughter, sisters and friends seeking to relax in their room while enjoying a spa treatment and a chick flick. The choice of Good Girl Menu (smoked salmon, fruit platter and smoothie) or Bad Girl menu (cookies, ice cream and champagne) is offered.
The new spa menu features extended treatment lengths: 60, 75 or 90 minutes. Therapists never leave guests alone during treatment times; instead they offer ‘value added’ services. For example, once a face mask is applied, the therapist will then move onto the guest’s feet, scalp or shoulders for an unexpected treatment. After their treatments, guests can sample the products they have just been treated with, and they can enjoy fresh fruit or tea either before or after their therapy. Additionally, to avoid disappointment, guests can now pre-book their treatments by emailing: spareservations@thepalmstc.com.
For more information and reservations, call 866-877-PALM (7256) or visit: www.thepalmstc.com. In Canada, call Resort to the Best at 800-567-5327.

New Napa Valley Massage Therapist Caters to Moms with Children
MumSpa, a new private massage facility, is taking advantage of a growing trend in our nation by combining a relaxing massage with child care.
"Women with children who have forfeited massage for lack of babysitting need not shun the massage table any longer," says Vicki Mudgett, owner and certified massage therapist for MumSpa. "Now moms can enjoy an intensive massage and Jacuzzi in a private setting and receive the full benefits without having to rush to the babysitter afterward." Mudgett explains that children will have a personal area where they can play and be entertained with adult supervision. MumSpa caters to one client at a time and accepts children of any age as long as they can, "be away from mom for an hour or so."
"It can be very stressful when you are receiving a massage and worrying about your children, or you have to drive to another location by a determined time. It's absolutely mandatory that one be totally relaxed during a massage treatment or the goal of healing is defeated." For Mudgett, the concept of babysitting and massage service was born out of personal need. "I have two children and completely understand the quandary of childcare."
Located in American Canyon, the gateway to the Napa Valley, MumSpa offers all facets of Swedish, deep tissue and pressure point massage therapy. Childcare is by a certified childcare provider and includes an array of games, toys (including a large Lego® train set) and videos for children of all ages. For more information, call: 707-812-4029 or visit www.mumspa.com.
